Combining the powers of sociology and psychosocial oncology can lead to a more holistic approach to understanding and addressing the challenges faced by patients with breast cancer but also the mental challenges of those - who are fighting for patients life and their wellbeing.

Identifying Psychosocial Needs:
Psychosocial oncology can help identify the emotional, psychological, and social needs of patients with cancer, but also the needed supporting elements for those, who are taking care of them, the health professionals.
This information can be used to develop interventions that address these needs and improve patient outcomes, quality of their lifes also prevent healthcare team from burnout, anxiety or depression.

The Social Context Of Cancer:
Sociology can help us understand how social factors such as race, ethnicity, gender, geographic location, level of avaliable services and socioeconomic status might play a role in cancer incidence, diagnosis, and treatment.
This knowledge can help inform psychosocial interventions that are tailored to specific patient populations.
